Welcome to the MeroNEP Help Center. This section is designed to provide the information and support you need to use the MeroNEP app effectively. If you encounter issues or need assistance, please review the topics below. You can contact our support team directly if you can’t find the answer. Some features are still in development and may be available later.


1. Getting Started

1.1 Creating an Account

To create an account on MeroNEP, open the app and select “Sign Up.” You will need to provide your full name, email address, and a password. You may also add your phone number, mailing address, and a profile picture, but these are optional. Providing your state helps filter posts by default, making it easier to find relevant content.

You can also sign up using a third-party account such as Google or Facebook. If you sign up using a third-party service, MeroNEP will access your public profile information and linked email address (if available).

1.2 Logging In

To log in, open the app and enter your registered email and password. If you signed up using Google or Facebook, you can log in using the same third-party account.

1.3 Resetting Your Password

If you forget your password, select “Forgot Password” on the login screen. Enter your registered email address, and we will send you a link to reset your password.

1.4 Upcoming Features

Some features are still in development and may become available in future updates. If you encounter any issues or notice a missing feature, please reach out to us through the Support and Feedback section or wait for future updates. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to improve the app.


2. Managing Your Profile

2.1 Editing Your Profile

To update your profile information, go to “Profile” > “Edit Profile.” You can update your name, profile picture, email, phone number, and address at any time.

2.2 Privacy Settings

You can manage your privacy settings by going to “Profile” > “Settings.” You can choose whether to display your phone number and email address publicly. You can also unblock blocked users through the privacy settings.

2.3 Deleting Your Account

If you want to delete your account, go to “Profile” > “Settings” > “Delete Account.” Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile, posts, comments, and listings. This action cannot be undone.


3. Posting and Interacting

3.1 Creating a Post in the Forum

To create a post, go to the “Forum” section and select “Create Post.” Enter a title, description, and any relevant images. You can select a category for your post, such as jobs, rooms, rides, immigration, community, business, or general.

3.2 Commenting and Reacting

You can comment on and react to other users’ posts. Open the post, type your comment, and post. You can also share a post using the available options.

3.3 Editing or Deleting a Post

To edit or delete a post you created, open the post, select the three-dot menu, and choose “Edit” or “Delete.” Once deleted, a post cannot be recovered.

3.4 Reporting a Post

If you encounter inappropriate or harmful content, you can report it by selecting the three-dot menu on the post and choosing “Report this post” We will review the report and take action if necessary.

3.5 Blocking a User

You can block any user in the forum post. Open the post, select the three-dot menu, and choose “Block this user.” Once blocked, the user will no longer be able to view your posts or contact you. You can unblock them from your privacy settings.


4. Directory and Business Listings

4.1 Creating a Business Listing

To create a business listing, go to the “Profile” section and select “Support and Feedback.” Choose “List Your Business” from the dropdown and provide the business name, category, contact details, and a description. You may also upload images. Alternatively, you can reach out to us through the support form under “Support and Feedback” for help with creating a business listing.

4.2 Claiming a Business Listing

If your business is already listed in the Directory, you can claim it by sending us a message through the support form. We may request supporting documentation to verify ownership before granting you access to edit the listing.

4.3 Editing or Deleting a Business Listing

To edit or delete a business listing you own, open the listing, select the three-dot menu, and choose “Edit” or “Delete.” You must be the verified owner of the listing to make changes.


5. Buy and Sell Listings

5.1 Creating a Listing

To create a listing, go to “Listings” and select “Add Listing.” Enter the item title, description, price, and location. You may also upload images of the item.

5.2 Editing or Deleting a Listing

To edit or delete a listing, open the listing, select the three-dot menu, and choose “Edit” or “Delete.”

5.3 Responding to Listings

If you are interested in an item, you can contact the seller directly through the App’s messaging feature. All transactions are between users, and MeroNEP does not guarantee the quality or condition of items listed.


6. Threads and Events

6.1 Participating in Threads

MeroNEP admins post discussion topics in the “Threads” section. To participate, select the thread and post your comment. You can reply to other users’ comments and share posts by clicking on the “Share” button.

6.2 Viewing and Responding to Events

You can view upcoming events in the “Events” section. To RSVP, select the event and choose “Interested” or “Going.” You can also post comments on the event page.


7. Messaging

7.1 Sending a Message

To send a private message, go to the user’s profile and select “Message.” Messages are not encrypted and should be used for casual conversation.

7.2 Blocking a User

If you receive unwanted or inappropriate messages, you can block the user by selecting the three-dot menu on the message and choosing “Block.”

7.3 Reporting a Message

If you receive abusive or inappropriate messages, you can report them by selecting the three-dot menu on the message and choosing “Report.”


8. Notifications

8.1 Managing Notifications

You can view your notifications in the “Notifications” section. You can receive notifications for:

  • New messages on your profile
  • New comments or reactions on your posts
  • Updates from business listings
  • Thread and forum activity
  • Event updates

9. Privacy and Security

9.1 Data Privacy

We take user privacy seriously. Do not share your personal information (e.g., email, phone number, address) with other users.

9.2 Account Security

We recommend using a strong password to protect your account. MeroNEP will never ask you for your password or login details via email or message.


10. Reporting Issues

10.1 Reporting Content or Users

If you encounter content or behavior that violates our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service, you can report it using the reporting feature in the App.

10.2 Reporting Technical Issues

If you experience technical issues such as app crashes, login problems, or missing content, you can report them by contacting our support team.
